Hidden away in the Fatima district of Weert is an extraordinary building: the Fatima Huis. This former church from 1953 houses the largest marble mosaic in the Netherlands. Since 2015, the church has been used for various social activities.

In its design, the church resembles the Gerardus Majella Church in Nederweert-Eind like two drops of water. 

The objective of Het Fatima Huis is to use the former church building for social purposes, especially social, educational and cultural activities. In this way, the initiator wants to give a worthy reuse to the church whose foundation stone was laid on 19 April 1954 and which was consecrated on 25 March 1955.

The building contains a beautiful mosaic (largest mosaic in the Netherlands) by Hugo Brouwer (donated by Weerter industrialist H. Smeets), stained glass by Charles Eyck and Hugo Brouwer, wood carvings and ceramics by Cor van Geleuken, painting by Gard van Wegberg and a Mary of Fatima Chapel, which will be maintained as a devotional chapel.
