Nature reserve Leudal
The Leudal is a special nature reserve with an international status (Natura2000) because it contains special flora and fauna that are worth protecting.
Activities for young and old
Visitor center Leudal organizes a number of activities for young and old every week, which have to do with nature. You can think of guided walking or cycling tours, searching for traces, bird watching, treasure hunts, etc. For the current activities, take a look at the website Leudal Visitor Centre.
Wheelchairs
Visitor center Leudal has 2 off-road wheelchairs to borrow. In this way, less mobile visitors can also enjoy the beautiful nature in the Leudal. The wheelchairs are equipped with balloon tires that are astonishingly easy to move over soft surfaces such as the beach, forest paths, snow and heather.
Group outings
On request, the visitor center also organizes (nature) outings for groups, if desired combined with a meeting room and/or a snack and a drink. This also applies to children, eg a birthday party combined with a nature discovery tour.
The Leudal Museum
The visitor center houses a regional museum, the Leudal Museum. This is a small-scale museum with a permanent collection, focused on four aspects: the flora and fauna of the Leudal, archaeology, local science and history (mainly World War II). In addition to the permanent collection, there is also a changing exhibition, mostly on current topics. This exhibition is renewed on average four times a year. There is also a small shop, where souvenirs, regional products and all kinds of products related to the Leudal are for sale.
The Leudal Visitor Center is a perfect start for a fantastic day of enjoyment in Leudal!
